Website

So I have a website, don't go looking for it just yet - - The domain is mine but I have not set up the site yet. Oh yes, I spent most of the day yesterday trying to set it up, but have a hard time trying to figure out this web hosting stuff. Templates stink, I would rather build it myself...anyone have front page? Can I build it from photoshop?? Don't need help designing I need help linking! AHHH ok I vow to only work on it for 4hours total today......'cause my house is a mess :)

Learning From My Mistakes

I have been busy with orders, and have also been bust fixing mistakes. One slip of the hammer and a stamp only imprints on one side, or a double hit makes a shadow imprint....or if you hold the stamp upside down the letter WILL print upside down...lol....I am learning to pay attention.

Stressful Day

I had a bit of a stressful day today. Sometimes I do a little too much, and it catches up to me. I swaped my shift at work tonight to gather myself and gain control again. I am feeling a bit more orginized and ready to roll.... bring on those orders! I am so excited about the number of friends who have 'liked' my Facebook page!! It's been thrilling to see that number go up everyday!





I got my lowercase letters today and a few new shaped metals...check it out!

Orders

I am now taking orders! I have posted the listings on the facebook page under the album 'listings' along with prices and instructions. I have already received orders and am on my way! This has been such a great journey, and I hope things move forward....keep moving forward!

Listings!

So I have been hard at work creating new pieces, and getting them picture ready so I can list them and start taking orders! I am working on prices and different options for taking orders. I would love to get a web site going soon so you all have a place to go to make orders and check out new products, but until I get that up and going I am going to attempt to use Facebook for now.

I'm going to list the products in an album called 'listings' and use the photo description to list prices and options. To order all you have to do is email me what you want and I will send you a Paypal invoice!! It's that simple!

Getting excited!

The mail came and I had a huge package waiting for me!


My stamps arrived and away I went stamping... getting the feel of the stamps, the weight of the hammer, and the size of the metals. I am already learning some stamps work better on some metals then others. I made a few pieces to show off, I was anxious to get some jewelry that was actually stamped up on the blog and on the facebook page. Enjoy! Next step is to get some more pieces made and start pricing them, if anyone has any requests let me know!

Humble Beginnings

Starting off small, and trying with all my might not go overboard with supplies. I have so many great ideas and it seems like I could go on forever as I search site after site for the best price on blank discs, jewels, and design stamps. For now I will start small, and try to photograph the progress. One day I will look back at my humble beginnings and know that I am blessed.

I've Been Playing!

....I got my shipping confirmation today for the stamps! I started to play around with some gems and charms, I am soooooo ready to start stamping though. I ordered some speciality stamps, a couple of hearts, a dove, and a fleur de lis! That way I can make some 'Who Dat' jewelry for my N.O. peeps!

Supply shopping is addicting!!!

I think I am set for now... just a few little odds and ends left to pick up but the bulk of my supplies are bought and paid for.... my sanity now depends on the USPS.

A New Adventure

So most of my close friends will tell you I choose a new career about every other month. Thing is....careers cost money. So while thinking of ways to make a little extra cash, I have come up with an idea. I'm going to start making hand stamped jewelry! I love the personal touch and the creativity that it takes to get into this.

I can't wait to get started, I have already loaded up on the jewelry basics and have ordered my stamps...the mail lady is going to kill me by the end of the week, as I stand on my tiptoes at the mail box quietly bouncing on the balls of my feet in anticipation.

I don't think too many people have faith in me. I don't think anyone believes I will stick with this long enough to make anything of myself. Maybe not, but I am so very ready to try!

I am trying to think of company names so I can start putting myself out there, and getting things started..... I am going to try out 'The Hand Stamped Heart' for awhile and see where it goes.

Any suggestions? It's got to be original...as in google it and make sure it doesn't pop up!
